Lesson 496: Successfully Summerized

Well, Readers,
in seven years this has been the latest weekend posting ever.
Eloise is thankful for the extra day off.
It's a beauty here in Erie today--
a successful way to end Summer 2017.

Eloise and family were bunny sitters this weekend,
for two little mini lops.
It has been lops of fun.

The first signs of fall always appear in the sky.
The clouds look a certain way this time of year.

We looked up this week to find a circular rainbow surrounding the sun.

The kids had a great first week back to school.

I mean,
how couldn't they?

They are greeted with these signs when they enter the buildings.

Schools sure do make things interesting.

That and the fact that someone surprised my kids with
Back-to-School-Day treats--
the start wasn't too bad at all.

Sam showed up at the football combine wearing
my hubby's Save an Eye jersey
from the 1987 City-County All Star Game.

Sam's playing for the Cleveland Browns this year.
They are finally going to have a good season!

The Little Gridders is a combined program from the
communities of Harborcreek, Lawrence Park, and Wesleyville.
Sam and his friend Sam from Iroquois are side by side on the offensive line,
Right Guard and Center.
They'll learn the game together,
and in five years they will meet again
on opposing sides for Battle of the Bridge.

Huskies regained control of the Nagle Road bridge
in their come from behind victory in the last few minutes of the game.

Billboard master,
Dr. Krauza was a good sport.

He carried the Harbor Creek flag during a workout,

running back and forth over the bridge

while wearing a Harbor Creek gym uniform.

A girl's gym uniform, that is.

Play tough from now on, Huskies!

I am not going to be forced

to come to a workout

dressed as a squaw.

Thank you for creating all the buzz
about our game!
It sure did make it fun for everyone.

As we wave goodbye to Summer 2017

Eloise can say in summary
that June, July, and August were truly special.

We think of fall as the beginning of the end
for many life cycles,
but this year,
it is the beginning of something new.

And that makes us all very happy.

Summer 2017.

See you all fall--
we'll have a ball!

ELOISE
