Good evening, Readers.
All is well on a cold February night at the Lamp Post.
Sunrises on a still morning are breathtaking.
The crows watch for spring
just as we do.
Watch and wait.
Here's my weather blanket through February 22.
Erie started the new year with a 45 degree day,
Each day thereafter,
I crocheted a row representing the temperature.
The whites are the teens,
gray the single digits,
and the harsh black our below zero day.
String art has always fascinated Eloise.
Anyone have one of these in the 1970's?
Jacob from LOST wove tapestries
in his little abode inside the 4 toed statue.
I think it was erected in honor of my feet.
I've always thought of chopping the useless ones off.
I have a small loom and have practiced the basics,
but it's so square and neat.
My eyes are looking towards the
more uneven,
and unpredictable
projects like these.
This one is of particular interest to me.
It's the story of the Emperor's New Clothes
written in German.
I'm going to make something like it.
But better.
If I'm not making string messes at home,
I'm weaving together stories through photos
new experiences
and
old memories.
Beautiful smiles
after someone cut her own hair.
The Eriesistables 28 years later--
still cute!
My Lord, do I still miss Crocodile Hunter!
It's been 13 years since his death.
Today is his birthday.
I believe that education is all about being excited about something.
Seeing passion and enthusiasm helps push an educational message.

Words

woven together
to make a tapestry of my life.
Here's a true story,
pieced together and woven for us to read
by Georgia Hunter.
What an amazing story!
Eloise highly recommends.
Here is an important lesson for the week.
This was shared to me by Friend Heather.
It's one of the best things I've read in awhile.

Here is a video about the Aspen Institute.
And for those of you who pretended to read the article
but didn't....
(Louie.....)
here are some really good parts.
Don't assault the social fabric!
You'll be a ripper.
Become a weaver instead.

There is great power in mutual purpose
working towards the greater good.
Weavers are all about fostering relationships.
I happened upon this quote outside of a conference room
at the IU in Edinboro.
