Lesson 882: Old Man Winter

Hello, Readers.

I'm sitting in the Lamp Post

writing tonight

in one of my favorite conditions:

late at night.

winter,

everyone in bed but me,

candle light,

with a howling wind.

The older I get,

the more I love a cold winter's night.

Here was the truck in the school parking lot

on Tuesday night, all by its lonesome.

Sam was the last to retrieve it,
as we came in from the away game at 10:40 pm.
I set a record on Tuesday
for the worst game day weather driving:
1:45 minutes EACH WAY
to Northwestern and back.
Two good things:
We won,
And Natalie won the 50-50
AGAIN.
A whopping $31--
but hey,
it was really bad weather
and not that big of a turnout.

Here's the Queen
heading out to Disney on Ice
with her Gliding Stars helper, Alex.
Check out her shirt!

Alex works at Erie Insurance,
and I happened to take a group of kids there
 on Wednesday
for a field trip.
Impressive!

Sam got two games in this week--
you win some and you lose some
and that is exactly
how the week worked out.

So what did our Speech Pathologist in Training
get to do for fun?

I signed her up to play Family Kickball
at Clark School, that's what!

One of the best gifts Old Man Winter
gives us
is snowmen!

Here are some I spied inside school today.

there's always one......

Here are some outside:

Some of you asked about my choice for
my One Word Theme of the Year.

For 2025:

Right now I'm curious
about how little sleep a person can function on.
I have to head to bed,
and hoping for a more rested week next week.

Stay warm
(and curious),
Eloise
