Hello Readers!
We are entering another weekend in Grape Country
and the harvest is underway.
Our town smells like grape juice.
It's been a stressful season for some local farmers.
It was a misty morning this week.
The flowers are drooping their tired heads.
Here are two heads that are far from tired.
Well, three,
if you count the human head.
They've been on the lookout
for a very special little deer
that I'm trying to find an photograph.
Not this one.
Or this one.
This duo.
Or this trio.
We've searched the vineyards
far and wide to find her,
but no luck this week.
Last week Natalie
earned her Lake Erie Odyssey medal!
It was just wonderful for the for the participants.
We snuck in one last fair.

It's full of beauty queens
and goats who stand in their food dishes.
If you guessed the Albion Fair,
you were correct!
We have never visited there before,
and for the $5 entrance fee,
it was worth.
Fairs are great for food--
Amish soft pretzels
and
the Knights of Columbus hot apple dumplings
were on the list of delights.
Food makes me think of weekend recipes--
you always have to plan out food for the weekend.
Today is National Rice Krispie Treat Day,
so we got some stuff to make those.
Zucchini recipes are on the lineup.
These were great,
and we are making more.
And now I'm thinking about the weekend,
and cooking,
and that suddenly made me tired.
I think it's time I headed to Hogwarts for a bit,
then to bed.
