Lesson 530: Hey Google

Good evening, from Eloise @ the Lamp Post.

I find myself with lots of questions this week.
I'm glad we have this new contraption in our living room
to help me find some answers.

Sam got a Google Home for his birthday.

It's way cooler than I anticipated.
We've been asking it all kinds of questions.

Google Home: 351 Best Questions To Ask Google Home: (Easter Eggs Google Home Google Pixel Google Assistant)

We use it a lot to play music.
This is our new favorite album.

All Elton John songs covered by your favorite artists.
It's a must listen.
Lots of my favorites,
minus Mr. McGraw.

When you address your Google Home,
you say, "Hey Google,"
then ask it a question
or give it a command and it answers you.

Hey, Google,
What is the weather going to be like in Erie?

Don't worry, said the weather man,
it won't stick.

Liar.

Hey, Google,
how high will the winds be?

Strong enough to flip your trampoline
and smash the net.

And then for added fun,
it will snow on top of it.

The winds,
snow,
and ice,
sure did make the beach a cool place to visit.

Hey, Google,
how does one survive all of this never ending ice and snow?

This.
Sippy cups for wine!

Hey, Google,
where can I work out for free during the month of April?

Team Adrenaline.
Tuesdays, 6:00 pm @ Iroquois High School
Thursdays, 6:00 pm @ Shades Beach
Wednesdays, 5:00 am @ Logan House, Penn State Behrend
Saturdays, 7:30 am, various locations

Hey, Google,
how can I make it into the Awkward Family Photo Album?

Spend Easter with Eloise.

Hey, Google
where can I find a great rendering of the house I grew up in?

Ask Ellen Louise.

Hey, Google,
how long has Sam been stealing his sisters' treats out of their Easter baskets?

For a long, long time.

Hey, Google,
who wouldn't get her photo taken because she said she ate too many Peeps
and looks fat.

Guess who?

Hey, Google,
does Eloise still get an Easter basket from her parents?

47 years strong.

Hey, Google,
how does one trick a son on April Fool's Day Easter?

Tell him he got a $50 inside one of the Money Bunny eggs.

When in doubt,
call Grandma for verification.

Hey, Google,
what draws a no-parking-spaces-left kind of crowd
at the best little elementary school on the hill?

The Annual Clark School Carnival!
Thanks to all those who made this event happen.

Hey, Google,
with our first baseball game set for tomorrow (indoors..)
how should we spend this snowy evening?

Attend a basketball banquet!

Thank you, Coach Delsandro for a tremendous season.

It was a fall out of your chair kind of night.

Hey, Google,
when are we going to figure out this whole autism thing?

I'm sorry, I'm unable to answer that question--
says Mr. Google.

Here is a good info graphic,
but the numbers now hover closer to 1 in 60.

Tolerance and acceptance into a community
are keys to living a life of quality.

Continuing to educate yourself
about what is known about autism helps, too.

Hey, Google,
give me a great way to frame my thoughts about autism.

Here, you go.

Speaks to me! Beautiful not broken. Different, not less. Challenged, not challenging. Overwhelmed, not spoiled. Autism is not a choice. However, acceptance is.

And here you go, again.

Hey, Readers,
have a great weekend.

I know you will,
because Google said so.

Eloise
XOXO
