Lesson 588: Good vs Well

Hello there, Readers!
Happy Easter weekend,
and good Good Friday to you.

You can tell it is almost Easter--
the cards have arrived from Grandma

with full postage--

she lives 86 strides away from the Lamp Post.

Good for the postman, I suppose.

Good Friday got me thinking about
good vs well.

Let's start off with your weekend homework--
after these spring nature photos
to put you in a better mood.
Nobody likes homework over a holiday weekend.

(amazing how she blends in, isn't it?)

Weekend homework:
Read in full.

For you are going to lie to me on Monday
and try to tell me that you did your weekend grammar homework

here's the Cliff Note version of
the  good vs well rule
 from grammerly:

Good vs. Well–How Should I Use Them? | Grammarly

https://www.grammarly.com/blog/good-well/

The rule of thumb is that good is an adjective and well is an adverb.
Good modifies a noun; something can be or seem good.
Well modifies a verb; an action can be done well
However, when you're talking about health,
well can be used as an adjective.

 Well, then.
Here are some adjective versions for you--
people doing well---

Clark School's Mr. Hand
and his tiny bike posse.

If you do well in school,
good things come.

Word to the locals--
if you haven't seriously looked into Edinboro University
and all they are offering for an honors student--
you are crazy.
Ellen is receiving quite a college package!

Good test scores
mean preparing well.

We start them young.
Pennsylvania State Tests?
No Probllama!

Good job, kids!
You did well!

Here's a good facebook change:
Eloise--the Visual Storyteller.
Me likey.

Forgive the clarity of the photos--
they are still good,
although a bit foggy.

Eloise loves fog.
We've had some foggy days this week
and I wanted this blog to have a Londonish feel.

I don't get too creeped out walking in the dense
morning fog

now that I have a pitbull by my side.

Hazel and I spied this light
as we slogged through the wet fields.
A search light?
A beacon?
A come to Jesus moment?

It was just the light on the back concession stand.
Bummer.

Even the misplaced seagulls thought so.

April is Light it Up Blue Month
in recognition of Autism.

We're doing a good job with inclusion.
Thank you Autism Society of Northwestern Pennsylvania!

A special thanks to Erie County Elite Athletic Academy
who offered a baseball clinic this month
for those with autism.

It's a great new indoor place on Iroquois Avenue--
eastsiders, check it out!

Here is a peek into My Autismlandia--
sister Kenyan has a vlog!

Check out this video for a truer picture
of autism on the severe side.
You'll even catch a peek of Eloise.

It's a good, Good Friday.
Be well.

Eloise
