Good evening, Readers.
Eloise is sitting here on a clear
and quiet night.
Midnight Clear
is a beautiful theme for
art
and music
and stories.
My students and I are studying King Arthur
and the Knights of the Round Table.
Arthur's birth was foretold in the stars.
He was taken away as a baby
to be hidden by those who wished to slay him.
It's clear that the greatest story ever known,
the birth of Christ,
works its way into many stories.
We had some beautiful clear skies this week
which allowed for our early snow dump to melt.
These always looks so pretty in the sunlight.
There's no telling what the weather will do next.
If you are wondering,
skip Al Roker and go straight to Grandma.
She is always prepared
because the Weather Channel is always on in the kitchen.
She can give you the latest report
and tell you how to survive in your car if it
happens to get submerged in water for five hours.
Always helpful to know
when a massive rain threat is expected
for half of the country.
Hazel is not too worried,
because she is high and dry on my parents' couch.
Natalie and I get wet a couple of nights a week.
Cameras aren't too welcome in the Eastside YMCA
Water Boot Camp class,
but I did bring it out to snap a shot of this clever
life jacket Christmas tree.
These Huggie Hoodies are the clear choice
if you are a swimmer!
You resemble a teletubby,
but they are the perfect outerwear
after the pool.
As we left the YMCA this week,
the big flag was half mast
for the death of Former President George HW Bush.
There is a wonderful commentary in the article posted below.
The article includes the eulogy by George W Bush
in case you missed it.
Perfect.
It's clear that Natalie is in the perfect classroom for her senior year.
The practical experience she gained as part of her
older autism program
led her to a job in the Edinboro cafeteria.
Natalie made this beautiful work of art this week, also!
Harbor Creek sweetheart and basketball standout Ali B
was recognized for scoring 1,000 career points
at the end of her Junior season.
It will be fun to watch her keep raising that bar
for the generations of players to come.
It's clear that James Taylor was a master of his music game,
but success did not come without personal challenges.
Eloise highly recommends listening to his story
on Oprah's Super Soul podcast.
James has a way with storytelling--
through his own words or music.
If you know someone who struggles with addiction,
this is certainly one to listen to.
My favorite Clearly Wonderful Act of Kindness
was this beautiful story out of Kentucky.
Homework:
Watch and see how these Alzheimer's patients react to
baby dolls and stuffed toys.
It's clear that my baby is ready for bed.
Here is your lullaby for tonight--
my favorite Christian musical artist Chris Tomlin.
For the musically inclined,
the chords are included.
Goodnight.
Eloise
