Good evening, Readers!
It feels much more like an Erie February.
A familiar snow fell today
leaving our world frosty at the Lamp Post once again.
It was a slower pile up by Erie standards.
I measured it by Gatorade bottles starting last night.
this morning
and at lunch time
Gatorade Frost was the drink of the week
with some chasers of Good Belly for poor Sam.
His body took a double whammy--
upper respiratory infection
with a gastro bug following directly afterwards,
leaving Sam in this spot and position for ten long days.
Sam thanks everyone for the well wishes
and will be back in action next week.
Ellen's mental state is suffering
as she made a slippery trip home from Edinboro today,
and then was informed she was sitting in Sam's sick spot on the couch.
By Thursday Sam was finally sitting up.
These illnesses completely flattened him for days.
I told him I wanted to wash his blankets
and told him to go sit in the chair by the window
in the nice sunny spot.
Someone else took the sunny spot.
This is literally what it is like to try to share any type of soft space
with a pittie.
Oh, Hazel!
She always gets in my reading chair.
And look what she happened to be perusing!
What does our pet want us to know?
Poop is tasty I guess.
Poop is tasty I guess.
Even the fake poop from Sam's
Practical Jokes and Pranks Kit.
The Salad Bar Boss is welcoming her new helpers to the job.
I've been informed by one of them
that the Penn State Behrend Salad Bar
is the cleanest salad bar in the nation!
Nary a shred of cheese falls on the ledge
and she darts in out of nowhere to clean it.
Natalie is so proud to work
and does great at her job.
This opportunity is a dream come true for all of us.
Frame this shot
because I can guarantee you'll never see this one again--
Louie in a Notre Dame shirt!
His good friend Mike
passed away unexpectedly two weeks ago.
He was Louie's
friend since childhood,
bowling buddy,
golf partner,
and avid sports fan.
The guys carried on with their
King of the Hill Bowling Tournament tonight
and bowled with 23 guys instead of 24,
leaving an open space
in honor of their friend Mike.
I waited to post this blog later tonight
because I wanted to find out who won.
Louie did
and gladly passed the tournament purse over to Mike's family.
Beautiful.
Here is a little more beauty to end your night.
Musical words from J.R.R.Tolkien.
Grow your roots deep, Readers,
so they are not reached by the frost.
