Lesson 504: The Story Behind the Story

Happy weekend, Readers!
Eloise is very happy this weekend.
The Nittany Lions are ranked #2!

The story behind the changing of the leaves is not only determined
by how many squares we've moved
 deep into  the yearly calendar,
but also how much rain we've had throughout the season,
as well as the day to day temperatures.
I learned the leaves in our area are redder than usual this year.

There is truth behind all stories.

It's up to us to learn as much as we can,
and determine what the truth is.
Often in that search what we discover is actually OUR truth.
Think about it.

Who are your trusted sources?
What have you learned,
and what do you choose to believe?

Eloise believes that we certainly are having a beautiful fall
in northwestern Pennsylvania.

We've been wearing our rubber boots for fashion on the few cool days,
more so than for purpose.

There is a story behind every story.
Mitch Albom puts together some words to make it pretty.

'...Behind all your stories is always your mothers story, because hers is where yours begin.' @Debi Lipko Talleri :)

So what's the story with these?
Who has been messing with my Oreos?

Did anyone else try to guess the mystery flavor?
Let me know if you did and we will compare guesses.
These get a 5 thumbs down from the Lamp Post.

What's the story on two fifth grade buddies

cruising the park path

on a warm Friday evening?

Stay out until sunset boys.
Just do it.

What's the story behind this series?

My nephew

who has spent the last 20 years locked into a non verbal world

shocked us all just three days after these shots were taken.

He spoke his first word.
Hi!

Hallelujah!

What's the story behind twenty-five people in a pool on a Wednesday night?

An evening for Expanding Social Opportunities--
ESO at the Barber National Institute.

If you know of an adult with special needs over the age of 18
looking for some fun things to put on the calendar each month

let Eloise know and I'll let you know when, where, and when to "Say Cheese!"

What's the story behind the Lamp Post cat collection?

The stray kitties will be spayed, neutered, and receive their rabies shots this weekend.

I've been looking for homes for four of them,
but I've simply grown attached!
I named the orange one Franklin because we found them on the Fourth of July
and also after Coach Franklin of the Nittany Lions!
I don't think I'll be able to part with him.

I do believe Momma cat is already pregnant again!
Erie Trap and Release is coming to help this weekend.
Contact Eloise if you are interested in a kitten or two.

My photographer friend Matt Kleck takes some really great senior photos,
creating a unique and authentic story of each person he photographs.

The story behind the story creation is just as interesting.
I do believe Matt is so successful largely because of his highly talented light pole holder.

Remember this shot?
It circulated and was shared more than any other I've ever taken.
Eloise wanted the couple on the bench to see this sweet shot,
snapped unbeknownst to them.

They were found!

Eloise is happy to report I snapped another similar shot
of an old couple sharing a bench..

These folks weren't quite as difficult to locate.

Weekend homework for everyone!
When hearing a story--
it's best to try to learn the story behind the story
before you repeat it to someone else.

Read this:

This is an excellent piece posted by one of my favorite bloggers--
a gifted teacher named Ian Byrd.
He has a cool blog titled Byrdseed
that has left me wishing I had a cool last name like that to make a play on words with.
You don't have to be gifted
or a teacher of the gifted to check this blog out.
He finds the coolest things!
Bonus points if you do.

And since I've already assigned one weekend homework
and offered a bonus assignment,
why not assign another?

Check out this youtube video-
Top 10 Optical Illusions--
they truly will blow your mind.

Find out the story behind the story to these very neat optical illusions.

Enjoy the weekend,
ELOISE
