It's the weekend before Valentine's Day, Readers!
Time to turn up the love meter from Warm to Hot.
It's easy to write about love.
I love lots of things.
I can't think of anyone I love more than these three,
or this guy,
and this tribe.
Y'all know I love Tim McGraw.
He is in the movie The Shack
which opens on my birthday!
Click below to see the movie trailer.
Here is Tim and his lovely wife Faith Hill on the Ellen Show today
in case you missed it.
I actually like Faith Hill.
She is very talented
and I'm glad to see a country music couple sticking together.
I can't wait to go see them both in concert in Cleveland this summer.
The movie The Shack is based on the book
by Paul Young.
I purchased the book to read several years ago
and I couldn't get through it.
The book starts off with a terrible tragedy involving a child.
It is the story of a man who lost his faith
and found his way back to it again.
Paul Young is an excellent writer.
I'm giving the book another chance,
and the words flow beautifully this time around.
Part of my avoidance of the story the first time
was my reluctance to face my own worst fears.
What if that happened to my child?
Would my faith sustain me or would I abandon it?
How could I go on?
Essentially, the book is about love.
Everything matters.
Put the Lord first in your life
and you will bear the fruit of the holy spirit:
love,
joy,
peace,
patience,
kindness,
goodness,
gentleness,
and self-control.
You will see it,
and we all will see it.
Long term homework assignment,
and you get some say in the matter since it's a long term assignment:
CHOICE 1--Read The Shack
or
CHOICE 2--See the movie
It will inspire you to find your love
and share it with others.
I love my city.
It's easy to find love when you love where you live.
Snow and all.
Erie, PA was on the Today Show this morning!
Watch the first clip--(aired a few weeks ago)
then watch the second one.
I love my wellness group who is helping spread healthy through our streets.
I love animals.
Especially donkeys!
As soon as I retire from teaching,
I'm getting one.
I already know where his little barn and fence are going.
Click the video below to watch a donkey help his friends!
I love white churches.
I love cowboy boots.
I love unusual cars.
I want one of these!
Eloise needs one of these, too.
I am going to turn it into this!
I love coffee, too!
When I serve you your steaming cup of coffee
from my renovated VW bus,
I'll be wearing this:
I love pretty dresses!
I suppose they will be hard to wear when I go out on assignment,
photographing children of the world.
Oh,
have I mentioned that I love cameras?
I love football.
And flowers.
And fireflies.
Especially around lamp posts.
I dig those, too.
Keys are cool.
So are sunsets into calm waters.
Calm is good.
I love calm.
Speaking of--
it is time for my Friday night unwind
with Old 33.
Spread the love,
ELOISE
XOXO
