Lesson 590: Can I Hear an Amen!

Hello, Readers!
It's the weekend!
Can I hear an Amen?!

There are so many big problems in the world,
sometimes you just have to look for the little things
that bring joy and say Amen to those.

The world is a lovely shade of spring green.

This robin rested long enough on the woodpile
for me to snap a picture.

And the Good Lord has sent us lots of rain!

Not so great for the light colored baseball pants
but Shout extra strength is doing quite a good job.

The Sheetz shirts were a flop.
The store closed anyway.
Probably because the shirts came in a day late.

Tim McGraw turned 52!
Amen to that!

Hazel cannot climb ladders.

The feral cats say Amen to that!

I feel a turf war coming--
Summer 2019.
Stay tuned.

These boxcars on a passing train had no graffiti!

It's outdoor play weather!

Appreciating the small joys in the world
does not mean you need to stay silent
about its bleeding wounds.

I spent a lovely evening
watching a play written about this woman,
Sister Joan Chittister.
What an amazing story!
A more amazing advocate.

We watched.
She spoke.
We applauded.
 Eloise bought books.

Amen!

The biggest Amen of the week
was the story of these two Florida teens,
who skipped school to head to the beach.
They got swept 2 miles out into the ocean by a current.
After hours of treading water with no rescue,
all they could do was pray.

Prayers answered.
This was the rescue boat that drove by and rescued them.

Have a great weekend.
Eloise
