Hello, Readers!
Eloise is about to give you A Little History!
Each October I spend our teacher in-service day
outside of the district.
The Intermediate Unit offers
a day for teachers of Gifted students to network.
On my lunchbreak I take walks around the Edinboro Campus,
where I went to college.
It was a beautiful fall day
so I took a walk out on the cross country course.
It goes deep into the trees
It's time to photograph fallen leaves.
I love how they mix themselves into other plants.
Can you tell which plant this is?
Any guesses?
It's the mullein growing out of the crack in my parents driveway.
This oddly placed plant was
protecting it from visiting cars,
so they didn't run it over.
Natalie cut the leaves of the mullein and we are drying them out
in the greenhouse.
Mr. Rabbit watches over them.
We are still unsure what we will do with them.
All kinds of possiblites.
The plants have produced all summer long!
This evening we spent with the good ladies of
Tour Erie ,for A Little History tonight!
Tour Erie was the brainchild of
my friend Heather Cass and her daughter Lauren.
We got a group together and took the Ghost Tour.
It was so interesting!
Local legends and lore are my favorite stories,
and Heather and Lauren are excellent storytellers!
Here are some of our stops:
Heather and Lauren make a team of storytelling perfection
The Lamp Posters all are in agreement--
a rarity in a house of 5 adults.
We highly recommend
this experience.
We are looking forward to rebooking this summer
for this tour, too!
