Hello, Readers!
It was a week best described as Drought and Deluge.
The smoke from the Canadian wildfires
made for some bad air quality.
We escaped to the big woods for a little more breathable air.
Time in the Allegheny National Forest
always makes me a happy camper.
The creek was low
but the flowers were in full bloom.
I picked this Queen Anne's Lace,
hoping to turn it into a similar masterpiece as this,
posted by facebook friend Kris C.
I'm trying my hand at flower dying, also.
Thank you for the inspo, Kris.
People are wilting just as my flowers are,
as our friends in the southwest are experiencing extreme heat.

The deluge hit the Lamp Post
with some pretty good sized hail.
I have some in a bag in my freezer if anyone wants a closer look.
The winner of the most impressive hail collection
goes to my friend's grandson---
he collected 55 pieces---
and look at the size!
After the storms,
always look for a rainbow.

that is across the street from the Lamp Post.

But what is the other trophy?
Sam's Junior Legion team lost
and didn't advance to regional play.
We cheer on the Senior Legion Team
as they move onto the state tournament this week.
Sam's Junior Legion team
had a wiffle ball tournament after their loss.
Sam and his team of Huskies
won the championship!
Sam had as much fun playing this
as he did the whole season of baseball!
Drought and deluge.
Feast and famine.

This is part of life.
The end goal for all of the Lamp Posters
