Lesson 804: Guy on a Boat

Hello, Readers!

We had some beautiful sunsets this week.

The smoke from the Canadian wildfires
makes for really interesting sunsets.

Sam and some friends tested out our new raft.

The boys had fun on their floaty boat.

And so did this girl!

These photos reminded me of the Guy on the Boat
who was rescued about a week ago--
a real life Cast Away,
minus the island.

The dog on the boat with him was a stray,
and they wound up keeping one another alive
while they waited for rescue.
He then gave the dog away upon hitting the mainland!!!!

Here's another guy in a boat!

We took a slow ride around Pymatuning last Sunday.

Well, my family did while I waited on the dock with the dogs

and observed this bird!

We spied this guy, on the ride home.

We move from Guy on a Boat
to Guy on a Beach.

Erik loves the lakeshore in the summertime.

Eloise loves the line where the water meets the sky.
Such pretty shades of blue!

Although I determined this week
that the petal of this chicory is my favorite color.

Boy on a Base.
This is Sam's teammate Jake behind Home Plate.

The Senior Legion Team lost,
but were overall 5th in the state,
which is quite good.

Guy on a Roof.

The Lamp Post is getting a new hairdo.

The new roof was keeping us homebound this week,
so I continued on my Summer Cleaning Warpath.
I moved onto my own bedroom
and started with washing all the bedding
and extra blankets.

Penny likes her blankeys fresh!

Cat in the Corner

Penny is exhausted from barking at our newest Lamp Poster.
Meet August James LaPurria,
commonly known as Gus.
If you are a Swiftie,
you will understand the significance of his name.

He was found in a ditch by Ellen Louise
and he's been hiding out in the barn
while gaining weight and getting some medicine.

Have a great weekend, everyone!
Eloise
