That's it!
Hats off, Class of 2024!
Congratulations on your many achievemnts.
Also realize your setbacks were equally important
in shaping you
into the beautiful young ladies and gentlement
you've become.
Mrs. Eloise always loves the caps!
Who you are--
and who you want to become.
I heard a thunder outside of my office at the high school
and peeked out to find Sam
carrying his teammate to his bus.
He's ready to start his Senior year,
as he walks off into summer break.
And who might that be at the end of the hallway?
Former Huskies will recognize this fabulous educator.
Eloise's advice to graduates:
expERIEnce it all.
We all have hearts full of hope and wonder,
yet not all of us can jet off to backpack Europe.
yet not all of us can jet off to backpack Europe.
If you do find yourself a recent graduate
with an adventurous spirit,
but a budget of only your saved tooth fairy money--
you can find all the adventure you need
right in your own back yard, Erieites!
For example
Cousin Bonnie, Natalie, and I
set out on the yellow brick road in the Oz Experience
last weekend in Erie.
It was a virtual scavenger hunt around the city.
We started off in Perry Square
and hoofed it all around town.
Glad we didn't have to stop to ask
the Wicked Witch of the West
for a clue.
You don't need a virtual hunt
to Experience the best of your area.
Just put on your shoes
and have a look around.
Wonder is everywhere.
While downtown,
we made our long awaited visit
to the Purrista Cat Cafe.
It sure is great
to live on a Great Lake!
So many things to see and expERIEnce.
When the weather isn't perfect,
it's even more fun sometimes.
ExpERIEnce it all!
Eloise will be around the Lamp Post
this summer if you'd visit.
You'll find me here,
in between the flowers
working with my seedlings
and talking to the bees.
Everyone is wondering what Mr. Retired will be doing this summer.
Well, for starters,
during my Memorial Day picnic the deck collapsed.
We can roll marbles off the west side,
or he can bolster it back up.
I had forgotten the deck sunk
and stepped out the back door and nearly fell to my death.
Or like 12 inches.
Still--I landed with a thud.
Natalie posted a reminder until it is fixed.
It was a standing joke that Hubby would retire
and spend the rest of his days picking up sticks in my yard
along side my long-retired father
The universe answered with this:
So graduates,
becareful what you wish for.
Enjoy the start of your summer, Readers.
Eloise
