Lesson 896: Clutch

Hello, Readers.

Here is my lovely spring capture

of my favorite tree

and not-so-favorite

dirt pile.

Easter was nice this year.

The bunny always comes in clutch at the Lamp Post.

My lens for the Groupie,
did not come in clutch.
We'll add this set to
the Awkward Family Photo Folder.

My lens was in the right place
at the right time
for this clutch capture
of the clutch player
clutching his momma.

It's probably my favorite
baseball photo of #25.

It was my second favorite baseball game
I've ever watched Sam play.
The Huskies were howling!

What was your first favorite game, Eloise?
you ask.

The 15 inning game in Smethport
to earn our way to States
in 14U Little League.
Stories are told
and retold
of that crazy game.

Here's Sam
coming in clutch
on his AP Calc 2 homework.
He's earned his title
of Scholar Athlete.

I have to post this
of our other scholar,
soon to be a hooded Masters graduate,
and Speech Pathologist.

Seven years ago--
our lucky #13
orange-knickered Ellen!

Early Easter morning,
this beautiful half moon
was hanging low over the vineyard.
I always love to see the sunrise,
especially on the arrival of Easter Sunday.

It was beautiful out
as the sun was rising,
so I threw on a sweatshirt
and drug my yoga mat out onto the driveway.
Who says you can't do yoga
in chilly Pennsylvania
on Easter morning?

Look what Yoga session I landed on!

Friendy Wendy and I
are going through a 30 Day Yoga With Adrienne.
We agreed to go through the YouTube playlist
together,
each on our own time.
I just did Day 20
before I started typing this blog.
I should call her Bendy Friendy Wendy.

I'm planning on going through
all of the 30 Day Yogas
in succession,
starting from the one I'm on now,
 posted 10 years ago,
through the present.
I've done 4 or 5 of them
from the recent years.
I'm going back to the beginning
so I can see when she gets her dog!

Eloise highly recommends
this free and accessible wellness wonder.
She comes in clutch for me every single day.
Her videos are all
free on YouTube.

This is Adriene and her dog Benji.

Check it out!
There is something for everyone.
I recommend starting with her Playlists.

Adrienne is from Texas,
and so is another one of my favorite
writers,
speakers,
and thinkers--
Ryan Holiday.

I would REALLY love for you
to listen to this speech
as you are driving
or
twiddling around this weekend.

He was supposed to give it at the Naval Academy.
After reviewing the content,
he was uninvited
minutes before the event.
Ryan Holiday's content
did not align with Naval beliefs.

Seriously?
See for yourself.

Thank you to the US Navy
for making sure that the rest of America sees this.
Please share it with others.

Speech topic:  Wisdom

We need to look to the Wisdom
of Mother Earth.
We celebrated Earth Day
by taking the pups for a beautiful walk.

Where were we, locals?

Like "How many licks did it take to get to the center
of a Tootsie Pop?"

This game is called
"How many pics did it take to guess where
we were walking?"

Penn State Behrend
by the track
and the walking bridge.

This might be a fun game to continue.
I'll have gather some prizes.
You have to have prizes
if you have a game.

If you listen to Ryan Holiday's speech
the entire way through,
message me
and I'll send you a prize.

I really will.
You want one of my prizes.
They are collector's items.
They are 5% random
10% odd
and 85% fun.

Eloise
