Lesson 551: Slashed

We're about to draw a diagonal slash through Summer 2018,

but not until we get in our battle first.
The Huskies fought it out on the gridiron tonight.

The Huskies fangs slashed the backyard rivals,
giving us bragging rights
and control of the bridge for another year.

Many of you have asked about how Natalie has been handling
the death of our dog Josie.
We put our fourteen year old lab down a few weeks ago.
Obscure concepts such as this perplex those with autism.

Every day, Natalie still sits in the spot right where Josie always was
and asks if we can go to the Dog Doctor.
We suspect she thinks Josie is there
and is waiting for us to pick her up.
Talk about a slash to the heart!

The biggest slash of the week was our snow record!!!
Talk about the ultimate Take-Back!
#notmyweatherservice

Too bad the ball park invested in this column cover
marking the Erie snow totals
on the Sea Wolves Snow Gauge.

It marked the records all the way to the tippy top.

These three fans demand a recount!

Sam's team got to enjoy a local game together
thanks to our generous sponsors Preece Heating & Cooling.

As the Lamp Posters start the 2018-19 school year
we enter nine months of summatives:
--Natalie's last year in her program.
--Ellen's last year of high school
--Sam's last year of elementary school.
Seniors!

Eloise is not sad at all.
Actually, I'm looking forward to it.
This is the time to enjoy--
to sit back and watch all of your
nurturing,

and fertilizing,

and weeding

allow for beautiful blooms.

Next week I'll be back with a Summer 2018 photo review
and my book picks for cozy nights for fall reading.
I got some really good ones!
