We're all about paw prints
and plaid
here at the Lamp Post this weekend.
The Huskies played their first home game tonight.
Natalie completed her first full week of work
at Penn State Behrend.
Ellen Louise has returned home for the long weekend.
There are lots of things to look forward to about fall.
The lake is always interesting with it's breezy chop.
Luckily the lake was calm for the tall ships
in Erie last weekend.
We had just two Huskie paw prints
in the driveway as the school bus rolled up
this year.
That didn't stop Grandma from making her
first day of school annual photo bomb appearance.
We beamed in Ellen from Edinboro.
Natalie was all ready for work
and set to make some tracks of her own kind
in the Penn State Behrend cafeteria.
We closed out the unofficial end to summer
with a trip to my personal favorite--
the Crawford County Fair.
Oh how Eloise loves livestock!
It's no secret to any blog reader
that I've always wanted a donkey.
Along came Ellen Louise
and she added an alpaca to our dream pet list.
I've been adding to my
When I Win the Lottery List
and this goat made the top.
As did this pig.
And this cow.
And this fluffy headed goose.
Like owner, like pet.
If I do get an alpaca,
I want a white one.
The owner of the farm in North East told me
that the white ones are often born deaf.
I just like things with special needs.
Like this dog.
Buddy walks around Harbor Creek High School every day.
His owner let me take a photo of him the other night.
Buddy ruptured a disc in his back and is unable to walk,
but he gets around well on his wheels.
I love the human-animal connection.
Weekend homework:
