Lesson 841: In the Path

 Hello, Readers!

It's a week of darkness and light

in anticipation of the Solar Eclipse on April 8th.
Erie is in the path of totality and

we are ready!

Erie's total solar eclipse is just a week away! On Monday, April 8, 2024, Erie is the only major city in Pennsylvania directly in the path of the totality.
• Erie is expected to have anywhere from 60,000-200,000 visitors on the eclipse day.
• Plan on heavy traffic! Local residents should consider limiting unnecessary travel in downtown Erie and on State Routes and Interstates on April 8. For real-time traffic information, please visit 511pa.com.
The EMTA will be running all bus routes as normal but will adjust if necessary due to traffic congestion. Riders can use the MyStop mobile app for real-time bus information and trip planning.
• To safely view the eclipse, please wear ISO-certified eclipse glasses.
For more information about the eclipse, please visit cityof.erie.pa.us/eclipse/

I love this graphic with the City Seal behind it.

I'm going to take a drive into the city tomorrow
just to experience the aliveness.

There are lots of things going on!

Watch parties,

book deals,

items for purchase like these margarita glasses!.

Eloise and Co will be in the park
and hanging out here,

with Bart, Jen, Jaret,

and the raccoons.

They got me on April Fool's day,

and I would not have been unhappy

with a raccoon sanctuary across the street.

Eloise loves animals!

Me as a child and my path with a love/hate
relationship with meat.

Camp was in our path this Easter break,
and we saw some animals there.
Deer.

Fish.

Natalie and I walked the path from the lodge
to the river.

We highly recommend a stop here
if you are in the area.
Great food!

Dogs.

They love to sniff around the creek path at camp.

Nephew Jon's new pup Rip has one path he follows--
in the footsteps of his owner.
What a cute puppy!

The dogs are getting used to their side by side walking leash.
It's so much easier to have one leash
when carrying my camera.

Snow is pretty,
but we are looking for change.

Time for the snow to stop
and reveal the path to warmer weather.

Until then,
 I will snap my last
frosty photos.

This was my favorite of the week
taken at Harbor Ridge Golf Course!
See neighbor Laura's house?

When it gets dark at 3:16 on Monday,
you know where I'll be.

Eloise
