Lesson 813: Remarkably Bright

Happy weekend, Readers!
Looks like a beauty ahead.
Eloise will try to just enjoy the weather we're given,
and not worry that we've had no rain.

The moon was remarkably bright last night
as it hung over the Huskies home stadium.

Although, I much prefer how it looked

shadowed behind this tree.

The boys were intense

The game was a nail biter down at the end.
But the faces from the Dog Pound
were Remarkably Bright.

The Huskies pulled off a win!

My hometown has a remarkably crisp smell of grapes.
The harvest has started!

If you haven't guessed already,
Remarkably Bright Creatures is one of my books I'm reading.

Actually,
my hold for the audio came on Libby,
so I grabbed it.

If you don't have Libby yet
and are interested in getting your reading game rekindled,
Eloise will show you how!
It's so easy--
and FREE.

This novel is read by two different people,
a male and a female,
making it for the perfect listen.
And,
it is everything my recommenders said about it.
So good.

So are these!

These are fantastic, too.

What constitutes good for me,

is DIFFERENT.

Both Remarkably Bright Creatures

and

Steven Kings 11/22/63 are just that.

Different stories I haven't heard yet.

Even the meaty Master Gardener manual is good

because I'm DOING something different.

It's the single easiest way I've learned

not to get stuck in a mental rut.

Change things up!

The Community Park pond is changing!

Drained and trenched,

it looks like.

We watched this guy hunt fish.

Can you see him?

Look closely, he blends in.

I didn't hang around long,

because I felt sorry for the fish.

It's like me and wildlife shows.

I never know who to root for.

The baby antelope escaping the lion,

or the momma lion trying to feed her hungry cubs.

So, Eloise just opts for Home Improvement Shows instead.

Much safer.

Instead I turned my lens to the giant dirt pile the digging created.

I think I'm going to go pound a sign in the top of it
titled
Momma's Nightmare!

This weekend I have to figure out what to do with my
Remarkably Bright sunflowers.

They are starting to droop.

I want to save the seeds,
but don't want to rob the birds.

I suppose the 1,046 pages of my Master Gardener Manual
tells me somewhere.
Better start digging into my book.

I loved seeing this Mom reading her book
while her child practiced Little Gridders Football.
The memorial bench has a special meaning to a local family.
Please share this if you know who.
I'm sure they will be happy it is getting used.

I took some Remarkably Bright 7th Graders
to Presque Isle for a field trip on Wednesday.
Nothing screams Junior High more than this photo.

The Clark School Tree
is on its way to becoming Remarkably Bright.
You loved the photos last year,
so I'll share them along the leaf cycle this year, too.

The most Remarkably Bright thing of the week
was a surprise sky with an early morning rainbow.

I caught just a glimpse of it over my neighbor's house.

Dena B,
who lives almost across the Six Mile Gorge from the Lamp Post
caught it from this angle.

Childhood friend Chris P caught it
from the Public Dock.

Peg was down that way, too.

Jessica D posted her angle from Waterford.

My favorite goes to Amy Stubie from Klein.
This gets the award for the
Most Remarkably Bright Rainbow Photo.

Have a Remarkably Bright weekend!
Eloise
